Have you ever thought about saving the good ones just so you can use them up after all the bad ones? I did. Although I don't mean it that way. It's just I have a habit of checking the ingredients list before ever buying anything for my skin care. Because you know, acne prone skin = ugly skin. Anyway I found out that there's a wide variety of Innisfree sheetmasks that has alcohol in them. Yup. But I bought all of them anyway just to try and find out which ones are going to work for me.
Below is the ingredients list:
Here are the variants from the Innisfree line of sheet masks that has alcohol content:
- Tea Tree
- Manuka Honey
- Rose
- Bija
- Lime
- Bamboo
- Strawberry
- Aloe
- Cucumber
- Pomegrenate
I was honestly kinda wary to try skin care products that contain alcohol because I don't know some people are actually allergic to them and I'm not sure if I'm one of them or not. Although one sheet mask is only about 20ml of like a lot of other stuff so there's probably only like 5% of alcohol in there and I've tried three of them just recently.
I tried the Pomegranate one that says it will leave skin feeling firm and supple the other night and when I opened it, I definitely smell the alcohol coming out of the pack. The scent was pretty strong it was like opening a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Seriously. The essence was clear although not watery. Know that I keep my sheet masks in the fridge before using them for an additional cooling effect. It felt really cool to the touch and it sure did feel really good on my face. The mask was kinda thicker though and more transparent than the tony moly ones. And it fits perfectly. It says in the pack to use it for 10-20 minutes but since I thought there was alcohol in it, I removed it after about only 12 minutes. It felt sticky but bearably sticky so it's okay. When I woke up in the morning the stickiness on my face was gone and my face wasn't dry plus I had no new pimples so I guess it wasn't that bad! I give it 4/5.
The next one that I tried was the Cucumber one and it says it gives extreme moisture for dry skin. My skin wasn't dry actually my skin is let me tell you, pretty oily. It didn't smell so much like alcohol when I opened the pack. I couldn't describe it it's just it smelled kinda soapy? I don't know. The essence in this one is watery. Not dripping watery though, but watery. I took it off after 15 minutes and it felt more sticky than the pomegranate one like even after I woke up in the morning it still felt sticky. It was irritating because you know how our face normally feels oily in the morning? It's twice that oily. Although primarily, my face felt fresh. But basically this one is 2/5. Nope, not rebuying this.
And last but not least, the Strawberry one. It's fucking great, I can't stress this enough but this is the best one that I have tried so far. I didn't expect it but it was so fucking good. It said it will leave skin smooth and looking bright. When I opened the pack, it didn't exactly smell anything like strawberries. Honestly it smells like soap. Body soap soaked in alcohol I don't even know how the fuck is that but that's how it smelled like. I placed it on my face for 20 minutes because I kinda almost fell asleep as I was putting Arya (my daughter) to bed. Lol. I didn't bother looking at my face after removing it but when I woke up the next morning, the pimples that I had the night before was all gone. I mean not gone they just, dried out. My face didn't feel dry though. And i was like shit I'm rebuying this one. And i did. Definitely 5/5. Totally recommend!
These sheet masks are affordable at .99$ each or probably about 45 in Peso or so. I totally recommend this line because it kinda sorta worked for me but if you're apparently extremely allergic to alcohol then I guess buy at your own risk.
