EFFY'S BOOK REVIEW: EVERY DAY

"I want to conquer all. But love can't conquer anything. It can't do anything on its own. It relies on us to do the conquering on its behalf."

I'm not sure about the popularity of this book but this is definitely a must-read. I found it on good reads one day while I was looking for some good but not popular books around google (that's what I always do). And if you haven't read it yet, then you're missing out on more than half of your life.

This is like I guess the most unique story I've ever encountered so far.

"Every day a different body.
Everyday a different life.
Everyday in love with the same girl"

Like how does that work?

This is Every day by David Levithan

SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!

So imagine waking up every day not being inside the same body you're in the previous day. Imagine being surrounded by different faces everyday. Being in a different gender. Different looks. Different way of living. You might think it's fun. Challenging. Unique. Yea all that stuff. But I wouldn't want to live like that in this lifetime.

Not being sure of who you really are. For sixteen years (actually I'm not sure I don't remember anymore), you've lived your life constantly telling yourself not to get attached. To be invisible. To remain unnoticed. And then one day you wake up as a boy named Justin and then you meet his girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, you suddenly start asking yourself questions you've known your whole life that can't be answered. And then suddenly... you want to stay.

You want to stay even though you know that's close to not working. Even though you know she'd freak out just by hearing your story. Even when you think it's weird. But of course, you want it to work.

THINGS I LOVE/HATE ABOUT THIS BOOK
1. The unextra-ordinary love story. It made me imagine living a life like that. Not being able to stay in one place. Not being able to be remembered. Not being able to get attached.
2. I love the main character. (You'd know his name if you have read it) Like if I was Rhiannon I would love to at least try to make it work.
3. I kind of hate Rhiannon though because I think she didn't try hard enough for them to work.

In real life, sometimes things don't always work the way we want them to. And that even when they're in love, they just can't be together. It's sad, I know. But life's like that. And nobody said that life is fair, anyway.

Love,
Bunny
