I got the title from a song that I've put on repeat in my phone on our 4 hour trip from my house to Marikina last Dec. 30 for Iglesia ng Dios kay Kristo Hesus's Pasalamat 2013. Meaning, these photos were from that day. Most of them were taken somewhere at the NLEX after lunch at Mcdonalds.
And thanks to App Store for letting me own a scanner for my instax photos! =))
So we went to Marikina last Dec. 28 to celebrate Iglesia ng Dios kay Kristo Hesus' Pasalamat. It's an annual celebration which we celebrate with our fellow members every year (of course). Usually starts at 7am but since we live in the province, we have to leave the house 3 hours (or more) before 7 am because traffic or something might came up that may lead to us being super late for the event.
This yearly religious event usually takes longer than the usual mass. Takes less than 5 hours from 7am-12nn. The thing about me (or not just me for sure) is that whenever we're at the venue during the mass, I (not intentionally) take cat naps. I know okay! I mean I know it's not good but okay I could only blame myself for having so messed up body clock that causes trouble for me you know. I shouldn't be sleeping during mass but I just can't help it. :c

It happens every year, you know. (Let me grab this opportunity to talk about my hair a little bit since people have been asking me about it). You may think that it will only take me less than thirty minutes to fix my hair, but no. It's usually for like an hour or two to get my hair ready. You may not understand but that's what happens when you have short hair. I'm that kind of girl who doesn't really like going out having that 'bad hair day' feeling because who wants to have a 'bad hair day' feeling at any day? And when you have short hair, you can't really feel so confident about it because the wind could be too strong it would make your hair frizzy or the wind could be too cold it would make your hair too flat. THERE'S NO IN BETWEEN.
Basically, whenever this event comes, I always prepare myself for long and sleepless travel to the venue because if I sleep during the drive inside the car, that means I have to lean my head on the seat. I don't like it cuz it might fuck up my hair. and RIP effort to make my hair look great in an hour or two. That's the reason why I'm forced to sleep during the event.
People have been asking me what's the secret of my hair. Well you know, back in the day I used to straighten my hair with a hair straightener with heat and adding volume on ends. But then I got tired of waking up so early just to get my hair fixed and it just ruins and ruins it. Last Nov 1 (i think) I had my hair treated, had the color retouched and had it trimmed. Then I stopped straightening it and just blow dry it whenever I want to. Now it only takes me 15 minutes to blow dry my hair and it still looks okay (i guess). As much as want to grow my hair longer, I could not take the chance because if I look ugly with short hair, I would look worse with long hair.
And with what's about the symbol shit I do with my pictures, I don't know either.
I used this super comfy pullover I bought online at the event because the venue was fully air conditioned which means it's pretty cold inside. I wanted to wear something comfortable because I mean (i think) everyone wants comfy clothes for events like this. I just kind of wanted to wear them with style that's why I paired it up with a skirt/velvet skirt (which I usually do) to have a feminine touch with the camouflage top and the neon pink transparent studded sling bag.
Everything just goes with a doc martens combat boots.
(I was the one who took this photo with the help of a self timer on my camera and I don't know why I looked like that on the photo but this one was candid. It came out good though (i think?)
PHOTOBOMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD BTW.
^ It's out on my lookbook
Oh and my Dad bought me Instax mini 8. It's kind of like a gift- a random gift. A used an app on iPad to scan it. I want to own a scanner but I guess not just yet. This blogpost is so relevant. I know. FACEPALM
