Being a mother not to mention full time gives me the right to pamper myself every once in a while, ain't that right?
A couple of weeks ago, I've decided I should start a skin care routine like once a week or something as my way of kicking PPD (Post-Partum Depression) in the butt. Lol. I happened to have stumbled upon the Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Masks. It's a korean brand and has 11 variants:
- Avocado - Nutrition
- Aloe - Moisturizing
- Broccoli - Vitality
- Makgeolli - Skin Purifying
- Lemon - Brightening
- Red Wine - Pore Care
- Pomegranate - Elasticity
- Tea Tree - Skin Soothing
- Sea Weed - Skin Purifying
- Rice - Clear Skin
- Tomato - Radiance
I bought all 11 because I want to try and find out which ones I should repurchase in the future but these sheet masks are so affordable at about .99$ each so I'd probably buy all anyway and look at their packaging! They arrived last week and last night I tried using the Tea Tree Mask Sheet for Skin Soothing.
The packet says it gets rid of uneven skin tone. There's a lot of writings in korean that I don't know what means but it the recommended time is for 20-30mins. Also with the ingredients, clearly there is no alcohol content.
At first I was scared to try this because I have an extremely sensitive freckle-y skin which I hope explains why I have a lot of dark spots and acne scars on my face and it's been my #1 insecurity (out of so many) since I was 13. I used to have a lot of pimples, like no-space-for-new-pimple kind of lot. I don't know. And I'm so prone to breakouts like if I put on a concealer (or anything that isn't baby powder) with a brush (or even just with my fingers) my face would start to itch, and there you go. Pimples at your service. Although when I was living in Baguio, they started to fade (kinda) and I would only have like a couple or probably less than I normally would have! I don't know, was it the weather or something? During my pregnancy and even until now, 6 months post-partum my face looked even better (trust me it already did!).
Okay, I'm giving it a 9/10 because it actually did what says it does. I had it on for 30mins and the sheet hasn't even dried out! It felt cool to the skin and has a very nice smell. I don't know what exactly a tea tree smells like so it was kind of hard to describe but it doesn't smell like an air freshener (that was how I imagined it would smell like lol) so I guess it's fine. What I don't like is that the mask was too delicate I was scared it would break! Although the effect was there, my face felt refreshed and relaxed and my skin wasn't as red anymore. I'd definitely repurchase this one!
