ABOUT ME

Hi. I'm Effy, a single mom and I'm now 23. I have a daughter, her name is Arya Brienne. And that's right I named her after the characters from the series A Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones); Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams and Brienne of Tarth, played by Gwendoline Christie. She was born on 26th of November 2016 via C-Section and I have been exclusively breastfeeding since then. I'm an advocate of breastfeeding and a member of Breastfeeding Pinays on Facebook.

Motherhood has changed pretty much everything about me. I still love reading books because they're the closest thing we can get to magic. I still write but not as much, probably only when the little girl is napping. I still love creepy (and weird) stuff although not as much because too much creepiness doesn't really go well with wholesome parenting. 

I still like dark colors but I have long ago expanded my wardrobe to things I never really thought I would wear because I guess that what it means being a mother. I still wear make up going out because mums shouldn't be too hard on themselves. We can't take care of our kids if we're not okay now, can we?

Being a mother has changed me in so many forms. From just smirking and half smiling or not having an emotion in all of my photos to actually smiling and even laughing in most of them. From sad to happy, from depressed to delightful. I didn't choose this life but if I'm ever given the chance to make a choice, I'd still choose this. Over and over. I will never be the same again but that's okay because being "the same" was boring anyway.
